Hey! I'm new here, but I was accepted into Fordham (Rose Hill) ED. I was also accepted into NYU, but I favored Fordham because of the individualized attention. I also favored the Rose Hill campus over Lincoln Center, because I'm really looking forward to the whole cliche "college experience." Has anyone else been accepted and plans on attending?

what were you stats...b/c i applied to fordham as well as nyu.

Hey jeffbuckley, here are my stats.

4.039 GPA Weighted
3.986 GPA Unweighted
1750 SAT's
1/90 Rank
plus the typical extracurriculars...
class president for four years
NHS member: vice president 04-05, president 05-06
student government: president 05-06
drama
chorus
project 540: facilitator
student forum
big brothers big sisters
red cross volunteer
etc., etc.

i don't happen to have my full list of credentials on hand, but i'm sure that you get the idea. my SAT's weren't too exceptional, but apparently my other positive factors played in to my acceptance. hope this helps ;D

by the way, what other schools are you interested in? is NYU your top choice?

my first choice would be NYU..but its a big stretch (My SATs were 20 points higer than yours...but my GPA is not as high...have alot of ec's..student gov, sports, clubs, the whole lot) what school did you apply to at NYU?

Did you get any merit aid to Fordham or NYU?

ambreezyy: I don't think you got into NYU, i think you were referred to the GSP program. NYU doesn't take people with such low SATs.

I am pretty sure getting into GSP is getting into NYU

lol. I suppose that you're right, legionaire. It must have been you that I caught rummaging through my mail! I guess I read my acceptance letter wrong, perhaps you could help me--especially since my stats are so low. Oh, and GSP, according to the NYU website is a program that "...selects highly-qualified students to refer to GSP -- students they believe are worthy of admission. Last year only 7% of applicants to NYU were admitted to GSP." Frankly, GSP doesn't sound like such a bad thing--but maybe I'm wrong about that too.

Nonetheless, to answer your question, I was accepted to NYU's school of arts and sciences. however, i will be attending Fordham.

By the way, Fordham rocks ;D

congrats! those are my top 2 choices (except for me, it's Fordham @ Lincoln Center) :)

Looks like someone was jealous that you got in NYU... CONGRATS THOUGH! I CAN'T wait to hear from Fordham RD. I hear they take soOOO long, so this month will never go by quick enough.

GSP is NYU, it's just a different program. I've been NYU obsessed for the past 8 months, so I'm pretty sure on my details about it.

Kinda an old thread, but I was accepted EA, and I would say 90% I will attend. I don't post here much, but if you want to talk about Fordham or something, pm me.

do you know what the percentage of acceptance is for the people who were deferred?

I got into Fordham RH today and I am 99% sure I will be there in the fall!

Where you from Crew? Just checked the mail.. just my waitlist letter from UNC-Chapel Hill! I hope I get my Fordham letter tomorrow. I'm in upstate NY.

Is anyone in the GSP program at NYU. I got accepted to GSP at NYU and to Fordham, but I'm not sure which to pick. How is the GSP program? Thanks, guys. : )

AllieP...What were your stats?
