I was accepted to FSU for the spring term. Does this mean I graduate later? I want to major in business so will I be behind in my classes? Is entering spring even worth it? Would it be bad to call the admissions office and negotiate a fall or summer term acceptance?
I doubt you could negotiate an earlier acceptance, but you can get more details on the spring acceptance program. I know people at other schools who had a spring acceptance and they all took classes first semester (either at a local school or through an abroad program sponsored by the school they ultimately went to) and they graduated on time. IMO the admissions decision is unlikely to change and the question to ask is what kind of credits will be accepted if you take classes at a CC or local school that fall semester. I would also want to find out where you are likely to get a dorm when you do get to school (in a freshman or upperclass dorm).
Yes and if you need financial aid, find out how this would impact the amount of aid you would get.
Probably a way to reduce the over enrollment in the fall semester.
Find out what your options are for the summer and fall before you start “for real” in the spring.
