Accepted into CLA when applied CBS?

What is this all about? I applied CBS with a strong academic record... 33 ACT + PSEO + great ECs. Why was I placed into CLA? Is there anything I can do?

It means they thought you were a “better fit” for CLA. You can definitely call and talk to someone.

@TransferGopher‌ thanks. Just call admissions? How would I question something like this to them?

You: Can I speak to a freshman admissions counselor?
Them: Sure! What kind of questions do you have?
You: Explains situation
Them: Verifies your information, transfers you to admissions counselor

(I’ve done this a bunch)

@TransferGopher‌ thanks for the help!

You can always transfer after a year–I’m glad you got accepted though. I am worried the same thing will happen to me… I applied to CBS as well and still yet to receive a decision and i believe they may just place me in CLA. Oh well. Hope you can get that fixed, otherwise don’t worry about it because you can transfer to CBS later and just focus on getting your freshman requirements done the first year (thought I feel you most likely have most of them done already, as do I with my AP credits :/)

This is common for CBS/CSE/Carlson. Is your preferred major offered in both schools? No matter why you got in, you will be able to apply for transfer into CBS during or after your freshman year.

Thank you all for the kind words. I will be calling admissions later this week on how the transfer process to CBS would work (I want to transfer in straight away, because I have all generals done through pseo).
