Has anyone been offered admission after being waitlisted as a Transfer student? I'm wondering when they'll start taking transfer students off the waiting list since I see they're beginning to let high school students off.

Hey JMUdukes11, can you tell me your stats when you applied as a Transfer and from what school you are transferring from? I got accepted as a transfer back in 2008 from the University of Mary Washington with a 3.0 GPA.

I have a 3.3GPA from a VCCS community college and I was waitlisted =[
but I’m hopefuly going to be able to raise it to a 3.5-6 gpa by the time grades are posted
hopefully i get in JMU is my #1 lol

@SierraLeone12 Are you a freshman applicant or a sophomore applicant? Because I thought that there was a two-year guaranteed admission clause between Virginia universities and VA community colleges. It seems odd that you would be waitlisted.

@JMUdukes11 I am a sophomore applicant I’m recieving my associates degree in a few days too. I was shocked when I got waitlisted I thought my gpa was an easy shoe in

@SierraLeone12 Hmm, was there a mix up or something of that sort? What happened to your guaranteed admittance? Or did you use your guaranteed acceptance for another school? Could that possibly be it?

No, I did not qualify for guaranteed acceptance to any other schools. I took 21 credits this semester and ended with a 3.47 GPA. If that does not get me off the wait list to this school I dont know what will :(
