Accepted! Smeal College of Business. Here's my stats & resume:

<p>Although Penn State isn't my first choice, I got an acceptance letter today...</p>

<p>I'm relieved to be accepted. I know some of you are going crazy wondering whether you're in or not, so I decided to post my stats just to help you all out. </p>

<p>Please note that as an Asian American who came to America at the age of 10, I may or may not have received some advantages. My school is a tough school in Pittsburgh with 75% kids accepted to PSU.</p>

<p>I applied to Summer session 2007... here we go:</p>

<p>9th-11th Unweighted GPA 3.6 --> 12 Honors, 6 AP's total
SAT I --> 1900 (1250/1600)
SAT II --> math 720, chinese 780</p>

<p>Volunteer: strong, consistent resume that shows my leadership skills</p>

<p>Awards/Honors:
1)1st High school student in America to publish in both Chinese and English editions of China's Yangtze Newspaper

1) trilingual interpreter for an electronic company in China
2) Chinese cultural dance instructor
3) YMCA childcare staff
4) Office assistant for a management company in America</p>

<p>Area of Focus: //Communications// I am trilingual in Chinese, Japanese, English</p>

<li>I have been working as a trilingual interpreter for an altimeter company in China for 3 years</li>
<li>I organized English classes to teach the Chinese children from an orphanage (interviewed by Nanjing K-1 channel)</li>
<li>I published an article in Chinese Yangtze Newspaper after surveying 500 Chinese students. I wrote of youth's cultural differences by comparing Chinese students to American students.</li>

<p>I also got into University Park, Smeal College of Business.</p>

<p>3.8 GPA, 1350 SAT (710 Verbal, 640 Math.) I didn't take the SAT II. I don't have any extracurriculars basically... I did some peer tutoring and have a passion for investing. I've also taken 4 courses at Community College of Philadelphia: Financial Accounting, Astronomy, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. I believe my essay was strong.</p>

<p>I believe strong academics are much more important to Penn State than extracurriculars.</p>

<p>(I also go accepted to University of Miami's School of Business with an $11,000 merit scholarship.)</p>
