Hi, are any of you planning to attend Accepted Students Day if you are still deciding where to go?
My D is open to this suggestion as suddenly the decision is beginning to loom, and there wasn’t much time to feel like a student on the campuses where she auditioned. We’re considering two visits in April. And I am glad she’d have the chance to be on her own among students (no mom nearby). Should give her a better sense of what feels right.
D attended an accepted student’s day at Michigan in 2016. It was very helpful and thorough. They ate in the cafeteria, looked at dorm rooms, met faculty, met other prospective classmates,… It was a better indication of college life than audition weekend was! We also visited two other schools that did not have these programs before she made her final choice. In general, I would recommend going if you can take the time away and there is not a clear choice yet.
