I’m so excited for the revisit. I’m flying out there in 6 days. I also caused a scene when I got my acceptance(a day early). It was during theatre practice and I gasped out loud and my director’s wife asked me what happened and I yelled out,“I got accepted to Exeter.” then everyone clapped for me.
@PreppyHenry I don’t think so, tbh. My first choices are Westminster, Kent, and Loomis. Hbu?
@GryffinHunter Ah, that’s so cool! I freaked out in front of my friends and I was so psyched they were (almost) all good news!
@HistoryGeek40 I think Tabor and Berkshire are my top choices right now. I also am revisiting Peddie, but did not like it as much as the other two.
I got that. I’m still excited to revisit everywhere though! It’s gonna be so much fun @PreppyHenry I can’t wait to start getting ready to go in a couple of months!
Do you have a favorite(s)? @HistoryGeek40
@GryffinHunter I’m almost positive it’s going to be Loomis, but I won’t know until revisits, I suppose! I’m going to go everywhere so I can make an informed decision.
I already enrolled in Exeter. I already have my student email!!!
Congrats @GryffinHunter! That’s so exciting. I live near Exeter and a couple of my really close friends attend… Some kids in my school this year got in too, so maybe you’ll see them next year!
@GryffinHunter Me too!!! Congrats!!
GUYS I’M SO EXCITED
@HistoryGeek40 I have quite a story to tell you.
My dream school is Milton Academy, I spent over 100+ hours on their website and badly wanted to go their. I loved everything about Milton, its colors, its mascot, its modo, everything! On March 10, I was so freaking nervous. I was here on CollegeConfidential looking and seeing other people being accepted to Milton. Nothing from Milton came on March 10 which was odd, and I was crying thinking all the acceptances are gone. I was so sad, I had always wanted to go to Milton…and it almost killed me that I won’t be. I couldn’t do anything at school the next day. But, as I was packing my bag to go home, my phone buzzed and saw a email from my mom and she said “I had a surprise for you”, I was really really excited, because I hoped and prayed that the surprise was an orange packet! It was. A thick packet sat on my desk waiting to be opened. I already knew I was accepted and I sprinted to my parents, gave them a huge hug and thanked them so much for this. I was so happy, this was the happiest moment of my life. I didn’t open the packet until 3 hours later, carefully unfolding the acceptance letter. I took a picture of the letter and sent to my grandparents. They facetimed me and got to see me read off the letter to them. I spent an hour just looking at the folders and papers on my desk. I was super happy. Once all this was done, I went to my computer and put milton as my homepage. On my revisit day, I forced my parents to buy me a Milton shirt, pen, and binder. I wanted a cap too, but I couldn’t get one.
All I have to say was it was amazing, and thank you parents and teachers for making this happen.
THAT IS SO COOL! @TryYourBest1 That is absolutely amazing. Those stories make the entire process and the nerves that it can bring 100% worth it. How psyched are you for Milton!?
Now I am anxiously waiting for September when I move in…
Me too! I just want it to be here already. I’m almost done with my summer reading too… @AMS0203
I didn’t get summer reading from PEA, but I secretly wish I did because I’ve been so used to getting summer readings in previous years, so this is new for a change!
My summer reading books for Ethics and English are both about the Holocaust… so that’s cheery.
lies in bed reading Sarah Dessen
Lol!!! I can’t lie, there are interesting books about the Holocaust… Which books are you reading? @stargirl3
@AMS0203 Maus 1 for English and Portraits of Moral Choice for Ethics!
It’s actually The Hand of Compassion: Portraits of Moral Choice during the Holocaust.
