I am a sophomore at GU and I would like to congratulate all of you for getting in!! It’s an incredible school and community that I absolutely love.

Good luck with everything! :)

Did anyone apply for Early Action consideration and not receive an admission decision yet? Starting to get nervous…

@wfalvey:

Triple check your mail. EA decisions were mailed out in mid-December. I’d also shoot off a quick email. I live in Spokane and heard before Christmas.

Don’t think of staff as unreachable at all. They’re really welcoming and all-around awesome people. A quick email should suffice. Obviously, I don’t know whether they can tell you via that medium, at least that way they know that you haven’t yet heard.

Our son is an engineering freshman at Gonzaga, and he absolutely LOVES everything about it. Last spring we embarked on a cross-country tour of Jesuit schools – Fordham, Loyola, Marquette, Creighton, Regis, Santa Clara – and Gonzaga grabbed him and said, “You belong here!” when he visited for GEL weekend last April. He’s far away from home, but my wife and I couldn’t be prouder with his decision. I strongly encourage accepted students to visit for GEL weekend if you are at all interested in this school.

still nothing…im in the boston area so i’m sure that has something to do with it but still…it’s been 3 days since the supposed mailing and i don’t think it takes more than that for mail to cross the country. ugh

My daughter has been accepted to the nursing programs at both Gonzaga and Xavier in Cincinnati. Is anyone here familiar with both schools or can anyone comment on their opinion of which they prefer?

I was also accepted into Gonzaga’s nursing program this past weekend and was wondering if anyone had any information about it? I know it is newer and smaller than some of the other nursing programs on the west (Seattle University, University of Portland and University of San Francisco). Any information would be really helpful as i am currently considering Gonzaga as a top choice!! Thanks! :)

Elestudiante and closetobroke, have you had the opportunity to check on number of clinical hours for Gonzaga school of nursing and Xavier? I understand that UP offers 740 for the BSN. I believe USF is at about 700. Not sure about Seattle. Other things being equal, the higher number of clinical hours, the better.
Congratulations to you both. These are wonderful tremendous schools.

Had the chance to speak with Gonzaga. New facilities. Small yes, but 1000 clinical hrs at three hospitals in Spokane. DNP to kickoff in '14. That is a good showing for Gonzaga especially since they have many great intangibles.

Thanks for all the helpful information cecilturtle! That sounds great! I looked into hospitals in the Spokane area and found that there are 2 hospitals within five minutes of Gonzaga. I think this will be really helpful when it comes to volunteering, internship, and clinicals! So far, Gonzaga looks like an excellent option and i am excited to say that i will most likely be attending there as a nursing student in the fall!!! :)

I got accepted in December as well! I’m SOOO excited to be a Zag next year!

Accepted Regular Decision with Dean’s Scholarship. 46,000/4 years.

SAT: 2060

still waiting on gonzaga :frowning: does it help that my brother went there??
