I was really surprised to be accepted so early, but Northeastern is the only one of my schools that I haven't visited yet! For those of you that have, or live in the area, mind telling me what it's like and if you liked the campus or not?

Also, if you got in as well, congratulations :)

It’s absolutely wonderful. My brother’s friend goes there.

Take a look at this unofficial video:

That video is so funny! I can’t wait to go visit.

I visited during the summer of my junior year and I LOVED it! It was also the same day I visited Boston University(I think). A friend and I traveled alone in Boston by taking the T. Right when we stepped off Ruggles station we already entered the NEU campus, so transportation shouldn’t be difficult Although Boston’s a city, they HAVE greeeeen grass! Coming from a surburban community, I was a bit worried that I’d have to attend a school looking at concrete all the time … I know, a bit silly but I care. Their buildings are all very modern and clean, which I liked. (We also visited MIT for the heck of it and I hated it. The building looked so outdated and boring in comparison to NEU. BU was alright, but all the buildings were lined up, not spread out, on one street. Not much of a campus) All the buildings were within walking distance and I remember being amazed by how awesome the gym looked. When we visited a classroom, they had comfortable wheely chairs for everyone I don’t know how common this is for other colleges, but that was a perk for me haha. The dorms were alright and standard, at least the one I visited. They had benches and trees planted in some areas. Sitting sun chairs along the grass. I just loved everything about it and fell in love <3 The college gave me a suburban feel, surrounded by a bustling city. Two worlds in one area. Can’t complain with that :)

Ahh, Jenonymous, you make it sound awesome! It’s also important to me that the university I attend isn’t just a concrete jungle in a huge dirty city. I’m glad that you had such a positive experience!

Do you go there? If not, where do you go?

No, sadly I don’t go but I really want to!
I actually applied RD and I still have a long way to go to hear back my decision …
But I honestly feel like I don’t have much of a chance.
The only thing holding me back is my test score :|

But congrats on getting accepted! You’ll love it! :D

Thanks, and I really hope you get accepted! Good luck :D

Read some of the other threads. The campus is in the city (you have to cross Huntington Avenue to get from one part of campus to the other). But other than that it is surprisingly campus-like for a city campus.
