I got accepted to the school but they say I have to wait until spring of 2016 to attend the school. I really don’ have a problem with this but I was just wonder WHY?
-Way it because of my grades, or that I applied test optional?
-Is it a housing problem?
-Did anyone else get told the something?
Might try reading this: http://www.collegeparents.org/members/resources/articles/students-may-be-accepted-college-spring-admission
Lots of students get spring admit (and a lot others get different conditional admits like having to attend mandatory summer programs), so don’t be too worried. Many universities across the country do this for various reasons.
Thanks that site helped explain a little and helped give me some idea what I’m going to do while I wait for 2016.
Hey I got admitted to UCF for spring 2016 too! do you know how many of us are going to start in spring? I think I will take some classes in the fall or work, do you have any idea what you are going to do yet?
Well I’m going to American University in DC for the Spring not UCF, but from what I hear there are a few people that got in for the spring at UCF.
Four of my friends applied there and two got in for the spring. With the size of the school I would say there is probably a good chuck of people, may be a few hundred, that are staring in the spring with you. For me in American University, since it is a smaller school I estimate only a few dozen will start in the spring for me.
I also had the same idea as you, work and take some classes in the fall. But you have to check how many you take at your local community college. When I committed to American they said I could only take 12 credit, which is a semester. So for me I checked with American to see which classes transfer over because UCF might not accept credits for all the classes at your local community college. So what I’m doing is taking 2 really easy online courses in the summer and 2 in the fall at the community college. That way I have more time to work and earn some more money for when I start school in the spring.
