I turned my application Nov. 28th... and I didn't get anything!

Congrats to all. If you received your acceptance this early, you will almost certainly get another letter in the next day or two that reads something like:

Congratulations! You have been selected from among several thousand qualified applicants as a finalist for one of USC's most prestigious merit awards: the Presidential (or Trustee) Scholarship. This award pays one-half (or full) tuition (equivalent to about $16,000/$32,000) for four years. If you are named a Presidential (or Trustee) Scholar, you will be eligible to apply for USC's Thematic Option general education curriculum, as well as being eligible to apply for a housing space in one of our Dean's Halls.

To progess further, you must attend one of our Explore USC programs on

three dates listed.

additional text in the letter (omitted).
.....

The Expore USC is a two day, overnight visit to USC. You stay in the dorms the first night. Your parents leave for a dinner with faculty. You have dinner with existing students. There are group activites that night. The next morning, you eat breakfast with existing students. After breakfast, you go to an interview. The interview determines if you are selected as a Presidential (or Trustee) Scholar.

I hope that you also receive one of these letters as well.

Good luck to each of you.

blue, I do not know myself, but lovetocamp seems to have the answer.

I'm not an expert of the scholarship interviews or anything since I don't have a scholarship myself! :)

Best of luck in your interview. I'm very glad for you and everyone else who got rewarded with a scholarship!

Man i'm so nervous

I sent out my application December 10th.. and I'm from the East Coast.. do u think USC has already processed my application and mailed out my letter?

when i called them last thursday, they have not looked @ mine yet.

arghhhhhhh...

but i am happy for all of you who got in! sincerely congrats

If you got a scholarship, it is probably in the mail right now. However, if you have not gotten a scholarship you are still in the running to be admitted. About 80% of the acceptances are still to come, so no need to worry yet!

what major did you guys do- for those who get thier acceptance letters today

Did anyone get a mailing from USC about 1- 2 weeks ago with a thick "Guide to USC" book in it?
YOu open it up and on the first page it says "Why USC?" I don't think there was a letter with it, but I honestly don't remember. It seemed a little random to us..on the last page there is a page titled "The Trojan Family" and it says " As a member of the Trojan family- now more than 180,000 strong- you will be part of a remarkable group who are shaping the future of the planet."

We weren't sure how to read this mailing...

They send the guide to everyone who shows interest in the university; it is not an indication of acceptance. Just part of their marketing plan. :)

i got in usc's hp program

when i try to log into the RSVP site, it says ID does not match last name... does anyone else have this problem?
Is this an indication that I have not been chosen for the scholarship? :(

i can log in but it wants me to confirm the stuff. what happens once you punch in all the stuff?

Yes, you confirm your school, etc. Then the site takes you to open house dates. I don't think the fact that you can log in to the site means anything.

...waiting for Monday.

^Me too! I'm ddyyying. Haha.

maybe some departments send it earlier than others.
im waiting for monday too.

im waiting (anxiously) for Monday also.....

I got accepted too! i was so confused tho, i thought that the letters weren't coming until april? i just want to no about the scholarships now~!

wow, this thread has so many views!

all these acceptances are making me sooo nervous! I hope I did well enough on the SAT today to put me over the "boarderline applicant" definition
