Accepted to WashU and UMich. Which one?

Michigan #17 vs #34 is higher ranked in the USNWR Global university rankings.
WUSTL #15 vs #29 is higher ranked in the USNWR National university rankings.

so pick your methodology and go with what works for you.

The RC is a LAC like experience within Michigan. You live and take classes in East Quad. Most people love it. No RC classes are large. If you take classes outside the RC they can be.

WUSTL is a LAC.

Both are gay agnostic. 20% of kids are in greek life at Michigan. A lot of those are in the engineering and business fraternities/sororities.

Michigan sports are awesome.
WUSTL sports is more of an afterthought but you have professional sports in STL.

St. Louis has bad and good areas. WUSTL is a bit of an oasis with parks around it. The university area is very nice.
Ann Arbor is nice most everywhere. Easy airport access for both.

St. Louis has the new Madrid fault line, 30 years overdue.
Ann Arbor is geologically stable.

Uh, @TooOld4School, WashU’s as much of a LAC as Columbia, Northwestern, and Duke. It’s a mid-sized private research U that is an AAU member.

Also not sure how universities can be described as “gay agnostic.”

gay agnostic = no one cares much about your particular identity, people are treated the same. That is a good thing.
My bad , I meant LAC like feel to WUSTL.

If we bring geology into it, what is the story with the decommissioned nuclear reactor that UM sits by? Is it totally dismantled and have they removed everything that is potentially radioactive?
