<p>So excited I got my acceptance to Oberlin :) But I still need to send in some of the tax info for financial aid. I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me anything about what their aid is like--is it generous? Stingy? Money is a huge issue in this process for me--my mom & I are very low-income, less than $20k a year. I don't want to put her in debt for my education.</p>
<p>I think Oberlin is extremely generous with financial aid when it comes to low income students. My mom makes about $40k a year and I have to pay about $11,000 a year in federal loans. The tuition including room and board, books, and transportation is about $62,000 a year so I received over $50,000 in grant money.</p>

I recently got my aid package from another liberal arts college in Ohio, and they expect me to pay them $27k a year!</p>
