Accidentally 'accepted' UCSD offer

Hey, UCSD recently sent me an email asking me to apply for housing, so I was browsing through the MyTriton page. I didn't find the link to apply for housing so I thought I had to confirm my residency status first. But now it brings me to a page asking me to send my SIR. The option to decline the offer is removed too! Does this mean that I have already accepted the offer? Because I haven't decided yet

I didn send the 100 bucks SIR yet

If you haven’t sent the $100, then you haven’t accepted the offer yet.

lol exact same thing happened to me, no worries as long as you didnt pay 100 bucks

Thanks guys, it’s a great relief. But should I decide to decline the offer (so I give waitlisted applicants the space asap) how do I decline because the ‘Decline’ button is removed? Do I have to email them to explain?

ya i think you should email them, just out of curiosity which school are you taking over UCSD?

You don’t need to actually decline the offer. They don’t send out wait list decisions until after May 1. You just need to let May 1 pass without paying $100.

^ But that could delay someone on the wait list from getting in

I don’t think that’s true since the waitlisted people find out after all the SIRs are submitted. You’re fine with just not accepting it.

I agree with Andrew. Wait listed applicants don’t find out until around May 5.

@gswhoops. considering rice
