I have just submitted my SIR for UCSD but i am still waiting for CMU since i am wait listed. I was just wondering is it still possible to deny my offer if i get in to CMU? (since i submitted my SIR already)

I've herd from other sources that if i do get in CMU i can write an letter to UCSD indicating my withdrawal and things should'nt go too bad.

I know there is only a slight chance that i will get in CMU but just in case.

I don’t quite remember, but I don’t even think you have to write a letter. Once logged on, I think I saw a button saying “Withdraw Acceptance”. Something like that.
UCSD won’t care or make a big deal about it.
The only thing that will happen is that you won’t get your $100 deposit back.

Thanks for answering my question SupplySide, i guess i was in a bit of a panic thinking about all these things and did not see the “I have reconsidered my options and would like to cancel my admission. I understand that this decision is irrevocable.”
