I took two SAT tests, one in May and one later in October. I did a lot better on the May one and I only wanted to send that one to colleges. I KNOW I cancelled it but evidently, I did not, according to Collegeboard. Today, after applying to a college and signing into their applicant portal, it showed that I sent TWO SAT scores, the one from May and the one from October. I emailed the said college just now, asking if I could rescind that score report and hopefully they will respond soon. But, anyways, my question is: when a college says they superscore, does that mean they won’t consider the bad score? So in other words, if I took two SAT tests, and I did better in both subjects than the other one I took, will the bad one be considered? If not, will they care that one is significantly better than the other one? I got a 1320 on my first and 1240 on my other one, but the worst one was obviously after the better one. I feel like this ruined my application.
You didn’t. Relax.
If they say they take the best subsection, or the best test sitting, you really have no choice but to take them at their word. Well, you could doubt them, but what’s the point? It is what it is.
Can they unsee the lower score? Of course not. Just like you cam’t unsend your scores. It’s done. Move on.
