<p>Last year, Rice received 10,818 applications, according to the January 18, 2009 issue of the Thresher:</p>

The university plans to grow 30% in size over the next several years (search for the V2C plan on the Rice web site). So… the increased application pressure may not significantly change the the type of student selected.</p>

<p>According to Rice’s admissions website, Rice did receive more than 11,000 applications last year if you count ED apps.
