Accuracy of new blue book for SAT?

Hi so I’m taking the August SAT and I have been studying for about a week. I have 2 books, one is the Princeton Review and the other is the Official College Board blue book for the new SAT. So I took a PR practice test and got Math: 710 Reading/Writing: 740 Total 1450, and today I took one of the official blue book tests and got Math: 780 Reading/Writing:750 Total 1530. I was just wondering which is more accurate to the real test? The PR math section was slightly harder than the blue book and the Reading/Writing I felt was quite a bit harder than the blue book because of weird wording (in my opinion). I know it might seem obvious that the official one would be most accurate but in the case of SAT math 2, which I took in June, the difficulty discrepancy between the released version and the real test was way too big. Anyone have any opinions, or has taken the test and can tell me if the blue book or PR is an accurate representative?

Also slightly unrelated but does anyone have any tips for the reading section? I always have at least 15 minutes remaining in all sections, which isn’t a problem for anything except reading. I read fast and pretty much can answer the questions but for the ones where there are 2 answers that both seem right, there’s no point in having extra time if all I can do is stare at it and try to rack my brains for which one I should pick.
Thanks!

The Blue Book is the most accurate. The practice tests in the Blue Book are the only ones actually made by the College Board and tests 5-8 were actually administered SATs. I have tried the PR for SAT practice exams and I always score lower on PR.
For reading, I have made a lot of improvement through Khan Academy to practice reading. I used to struggle with picking between two answers and this worked for me: instead of picking which one “seems” correct, try to see what’s different between the two and then eliminate the one that is not true (this along with answering the question before looking at the answer choices has helped TREMENDOUSLY!).

@kimclan1 So is PR harder than the actual SAT, would you say? Also, how did you find out that tests 5-8 were actually administered SATs?

I found PR harder yeah especially for the history and social studies passages (2nd and 4th ones) compared to the ones from CB. I am almost certain that 5-8 correspond to actual tests because they match the QAS from these dates and were released at approximately the same time as these QAS were released.

@kimclan1 Okay thank you!
