Accused of Academic Honesty Policy Violation

I am a freshman undergraduate student. My biology professor has reported that I might have violated the university’s academic honesty policy related to unauthorized assistance during the final exam. I have been accused of letting another student cheat off my paper. Her exact words on the report were:

“ [Another student’s name] was observed my 2 proctors and me to turn his eyes (not his head) constantly and blatantly at his neighbor’s exam. Tried to at times block his eyes with his hand. It was not clear to me whether his neighbor, [My Name] , actively gave him opportunity to look or not.”

The fact is that I do not even know that student and I think I covered my answers pretty well (it was a multiple choice +short answers exam) .I am an ‘A’ student with a 4.0 GPA high school GPA and currently have a 3.85 GPA. I risk loosing everything that I have worked so hard for throughout my life. The hearing with the professor and the facilitator is in two weeks. How can I best defend myself? If anyone has any experience with this, please help.

You don’t have any control over the next person’s eyes. It is as simple as that. If the other student didn’t even move his head there is no way you could know he was watching you. It would be just as suspicious if not more so if you were looking around and thus noticed him.
