Acoustic Guitar Lessons?

I bought a guitar a few months ago and got bored/didn't have enough time to continue/<insert other="" lame="" excuse="" here=""> playing after two or so days...</insert>

NOWWW I want to restart! cheers

I'm going for the structured route this time. How would I go about getting a good/not-too-pricey guitar teacher? Yellow Pages? SamAsh/GuitarCenter?

I'm a newbie and don't have the time for lessons now. Usually small music shops have lessons, and junior colleges maybe.

skip lessons, teach yourself. much better.

I don't know...do you know anyone in the area who takes lessons? I took for a while with someone that a few of my brother's friends took with, right around the corner from my house which was nice.

I think it is possible to teach yourself though, I find myself playing a lot more when I can just on my own mess around with whatever I want. But... if you get a teacher, you'll be sure to learn it right.

It's possible, I suppose, but I'd like to learn the basics from a professional (or at least someone who knows what he's doing) first lol

^I'd say don't take lessons at one of the big chain music stores. They tend to see you as just anotehr number, and most of the teachers are willing to let you move on to the next course just so you keep on paying. At least that is the experience I had with that kind fo guitar lessons. My advice would be try and contact your community college, and perhaps you can take some guitar lessons there, or you could get the number of someone studying music who is willing to give you lessons ( and in my experience these guys are really helpful, knowledgeable and they charge a reasonable fee).
