Hi. We are moving to the UK from Europę, from international IB School. Looking for IB schools in the UK. Just recepty visited all ACS schools in the uk ( Cobham, egham And Hillinghdon). In terms of our location ACS Hillingdon is the best fit for us. I would like to hear reviews from parents who have experience with ACS Hilingdon?
Please, any help? How good is the school academically, do they employ first class teachers and what is the level of the schools- challenging, do they teach well, do they prepare well for IB exams?
@Eastwalt, this is a US based site for people getting ready to apply to university. Although there are a few UK regulars here, it would only be random luck for you if they were at all familiar with any particular secondary school. I’m sorry.
There is a site called britexpats, maybe british expats which has a forum for people returning which might be helpful.
Another thought. There are statutory school inspection services which give independent information. Ofsted inspects state schools. An Independent Schools Service ( not entirely sure of the name) does the same for private schools. Schools usually give a link to the appropriate latest inspection report on their website. It will possibly be a different take from that of parents but should be useful.
