I have the ACT in about 2 weeks and I want to know if the PR 1296 is reliable as practice and etc.

I have the official Red Book with 3 practice tests that i plan on taking after some prep some the above book.

Anyone know how effective/reliable PR is for ACT? I know its not good for SAT.

I didnt think so. My parents got me prep materials from a company called Test Prep Services. They only paid 299 for it and I was guaranteed to increase my score. It really helped my vocabulary and math. The guy that helped sell us the program actually walked me through the best way to use it. His name was Patrick Adams, very helpful. I would recommend. I always called him on their customer service number 888-572-8228.

^ ACT doesnt have Vocab.

Is it just a coincidence that a guy named “Patrick” sold you materials and that your user is “patrickdlt”

^ At least his advertising was rendered useless LOL

" I got my prep books and materials from a company ran by a guy named Cortana. He really helped me raise my score. And no, im not him, i swear! "

can anybody reply to this post in regards to PR 1296? I am in the EXACT same situation as the poster, since i also have the red book and plan to take the tests before sept 10th.

i just took the 3rd test in PR’s 1296 and scored a 28, with a low 26 on science which is usually over 30, it seemed to be off since there were more than 4 experiments… Are all parts harder than the real act, or just some?

I thought the PR 1296 book was okay. I did find it a lot better than the practice tests of other ACT prep books (like Kaplan). In general, anything not made by the ACT is not really ideal for studying. I would suggest trying to find some real tests (there are a lot floating around online). However, if you can’t, it wouldn’t really harm you too bad to use the PR book (just take some real ACT tests afterwards).

well, since there were only a few real posts here in regards to my question i think I’m just going to use PR for supplement and basic practice and then really make good use of my red book.
