I have always been a poor student. GPA 2.1

Community college?

I’d go to my local community college, try to get decent grades there, and then maybe transfer to a four year school.

But before you do that, you have to know why your GPA and ACT scores are so low. Are you working hard enough? Are you having difficulty with math or reading comprehension? If you don’t figure out what the problem is, you will probably not do well in college.

Indeed. If you do well there and study for the ACT (or try the SAT) you can move on to a state school. A CC degree is still better than a HS one. Good Luck

I am working hard but that is my limit at least right now. I studied three to four hours a night in high school to get those grades.

Well, your GPA isn’t as bad as your ACT score. Now if you can’t lift it up to like a 20-22, then try standardised test optional schools. Write a kickass essay, and you’ll be good.

Try schools like Rollins (it would be a reach for you with your GPA - test optional) but something on those lines, with good ECs and essays, you should get in.

Try CC. Four year colleges that are at a level of selectivity to take you will offer much the same that a CC does- and cost more.

Thanks everyone CC looks good.
