<p>yeah SAT and ACT essays really are pretty much the same</p>
<p>You get 5 extra minutes on the ACT.</p>
<p>Sat usually has essay on a quote, ACT usually has essay on your opinion</p>
<p>i'm not sure, but i think the SAT is usually looking for some literature or history and stuff in your response while the ACT tends to ask for personal opinions</p>
<p>I thought the ACT essay had a topic that was easier and more relatable to high school students. School Uniforms, Fast Food, etc. The SAT Essays were more abstract.</p>
<p>ACT Essay- 30 minutes. SAT Essay- 25 minutes. On such a short essay timeframe, those 5 minutes really help.</p>
<p>I don't think that they are similar. The ACT is longer, as mentioned and more focused with "real topics", like as was said school uniforms, etc. Whereas in the SAT, they are more abstract like "what is a true leader", or "does one person get too much credit for soemthing", etc.</p>
