ACT English

I really need help on this section. How did you guys prepare for this section on the ACT. What are the best strategies. And what do we have to know?

I would recommend getting Cracking the ACT. I thought the English prep in it was very good. It definitely covers what you need to know.

The 2007 edition is outdated. In the September ACT, there were questions in the english section where they give you a sentence and 4 choices asking you whether the sentence should be inserted into a specific part of a paragraph or not. 2 choices were yes (with different reasons) and 2 choices were no (with different reasons as well). You had to choose the right answer (yes/no) as well as the correct reason. If I'm not mistaken, the Princeton Review book did not have any information/practice on these questions, so it might be better for you to look elsewhere.

I believe they had similar questions in the Princeton Book.

Well, maybe mine is old or something, but it is the 2007 edition....and I combed the book pretty thoroughly and there were no strategies/information on those questions.

How are they supposed to know what the ACT test will have on it?
