<p>Hey guys, I was just wondering how far in advance you should begin studying for the ACT and how much you should study once you begin. This will be my first time taking the ACT, as a junior and I just need to pick what day. I really want to get a 32. </p>
<p>Oh and I have the Barron's 36 book and the official ACT one. </p>

<p>My college counselor recommended starting preparation 12 weeks before the test date. I followed her advice and scored a 34, so I’d say the time was right. I did go through one book the summer before I took it (in January), but I wouldn’t really count that as real prep.</p>
<p>Well, if you think about it, would there be any hindering factor to the starting of ACT studying early?</p>
<p>I would say that if you care about the ACT a ton, start as soon as possible. Everybody had different times that they need to study.</p>
