ACT Math Look Better, but Composite Looks Worse...?

I've taken the SATs and ACTs multiple times, with my SAT superscore being 1420 and best ACT composite being 31.
SAT: Math - 680, Reading - 740
ACT: Math - 33, Reading - 35, English - 34, Science 25
On the ACT, my scores in math and reading were a lot better than my math and reading on the SAT. If not for my lousy scores in science, which ruined the composite, I would definitely be submitting the ACT.
I'm concerned because I plan on majoring in engineering in college and my SAT math score likely won't get me into many top engineering programs. The 33 on the math ACT looks better, but my ACT composite doesn't look great.
Do colleges care at all about the individual section scores of the ACT (i.e. math and reading) or just merely the composite? Is my best bet just to submit all my ACT and SAT scores and hope for the best?

Based on the subscores you gave me for the ACT you have a score of 32, not a 31. What did you get the first time? Also, where are you planning to apply?

Depends on the universities you are applying to. Some require you to send all tests you’ve taken. Many superscore (take the highest subscores from each sitting and combine them to create a new composite, this may help you). Your SAT score roughly translates to a 32 on the ACT I believe.

If ur applying to CS, Engineering, or Math, then ur math and science scores are weighted heavily, english and reading are allowed to slip a little, but both should be good. My scores are:
E:29
M:35
R:28
S:25

I am retaking, purely to improve Science.
For Cornell, if you take multiple ACT’s, then they will look at the subscores of the highest composite.
