ACT= mental suicide!

I have a biggg problem! Okay I took the ACT in December of last year and got a 30 in reading. Great right? Okay then I take it again in October and I get a 25 in reading!!!!!!! No it gets worse...... I just took it on December 9 and got a 21 in reading.......... i totally suck!...... well I'm a junior in high school and all my other scores are okay....they don't keep dropping......right now I have a composite of 24.....

Will someone please explain to me why I keep doing worse in reading? and what can I do to improve my score and get my 30 back????

Thankkk youuu!!!!

EEEEEE i kno exactly how u feel! reading keeps going down for me and i don't kno why. the first time i took the ACT, it was my BEST score, and the second, and third times i took it, it was my lowest! from 29 to 24, 23! i don't kno what i did for it to be the highest the first time...it was the June test, maybe the june test was just easier passages? bc i found the other two tests to have passages that were hard to follow... i guess just ask yourself what you did the first time?

I'd love an answer to that question. First time my daughter took the ACT as a sophomore she got a 35 in reading. It has gone down every time since - a 27 last time. All her other scores keep going up. Frustrating as she is retaking it trying to get some scholarship $$$s. and would have the composite score she needs if her reading would go back up. I wonder how much it is related to time spent reading for pleasure. She used to be a voracious reader - several books a week. Now she goes to a school where the academics are very challenging and almost every hour of her day from 8a.m. to 10p.m. is scheduled so barely reads for pleasure.
