ACT Newbie

I'm a senior in high school currently getting everything ready and what not. My last few things to attend to are to take the Nov.3rd SATs and, I was hoping, the late Oct. ACTs. However, when my dad went to sign us up (late of course, but I already told him I'd pay the late fee myself) he got a message saying we'd just have to wait and see or something. Is this true? Do I just have to wait and hope someone decides not to take them? Also with that in mind, do I sign up, pay the fees and do the studying only to find there's no "seats" available on the day of the test?

I could really use any advice you have!

You must be a standby. They will probably tell you to go to the testing center, and if there is an open seat, you will be able to take the test.

Perhaps you can try to find another testing center location...

Well judging from how kids from Ballston Spa, Shenendahowa, and Central Catholic (schools in our area) came to our school to take the SATs, something tells me we're the biggest test center here..haha.
