I recently took my first practice test in the official ACT practice test book. (whatever it's called... the one by the ACT company) and scored around a 29.
does anyone know how accurate this book is?

Well, if you did not do any more prep you can probably expect near the same score. However, if you do some good prep and are comfortable with the test i would expect a 31-32

It's pretty accurate...it's the real thing after all!

I did better on the actual test (34) than I did on practice tests. Probably just because I was more focused.

I'd say it is somewhat accurate. I scored 33-34 on the practice tests, but got 36 comp on the real thing. But I might have just gotten lucky that Saturday.
