ACT Prepping

I have a quick question.

I'm a senior taking the ACT December 10th and my previous score is:

Composite Score : 25
English: 26
Math:24
Reading:24
Science:24
Writing: 10
English/Writing: 27

I am shooting for a 30 and was wondering if anyone had any tips in terms of effective preparation. I've been using McGrawHill and managed the following:
Comp: 28
English: 31
Reading: 31
Science:23
Math:27

I've recently bought a Princeton Review cracking the ACT study book and was wondering if doing a practice exam every week then looking over my answers would be of any help.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You should get The Real ACT Prep Book; it has 5 real ACT tests in it. The first time I took it I got a 25, after using the book I got a 30

How much time did you have inbetween this preparation and the actual exam?

Well I took 5 practice tests the week before the actual ACT because I was on fall break (I know, I’m lame), but it really helped me adjust to the structure of the test and the tricks that lie in it.
