Could some1 suggest me a good site for an ACT preparation ?? or a site for ACT full length practice test where I could get my scores after the test.
Any 1??

Okay now this is really disappointing!!
There are 65 people viewing my post but none of you can actually comment a suggestion??
There are countless people here who have been giving the ACT.
I am just asking a simple question as to which is the best ACT site/book for preparation

People post or not, I’m not sure why new members always take it so personally.

It helps if you post on a forum that is most closely associated with your issue, in your case, it should clearly go on the ACT prep forum.

For an obviously FAQ question like this, use the Search function.

There are many other reasons than the two given in post #3. For instance, you get lots of views but no answers because your title is vague. Also, people get tired of answering the same question over and over again.

good luck!

As someone who’s taken the ACT thrice, I would recommend ordering/purchasing a copy of the Official ACT Prep book (the Red Book) and do all the practice tests, go over the answers one by one, and make sure you understand why you got it wrong so you don’t do it again.
If you learn how to test on the computer, you’re probably much better off taking your test on the computer so I advise you keep the computer as far away as possible when testing/studying.

Cortana - Those sites are pretty useful.Bookmarked it.Thank you :-)

Chickenfriedryce - Nope.This is my 1st and last shot for giving the ACT.I’ve given SAT once,last year.Did fine though.MAth-800 , CR - 710 , W - 730

I’m giving ACT hoping I score 34+.
I have already purchased the Official ACT guide(the online edition) from college board and it barely contains any study material in it.Hence,I’m in urgent need of an ACT prep book.

and HarvardGrad - I don’t know why but I’ve checked all the stores here but none of them have an ACT prep book of the Princeton Review edition.Their SAT books are lovely though.Specially SAT 2 Math.

In general, the ACT measures how much you know and the SAT measures how clever you are. SAT prep classes teach you how to take the test. SAT prep classes show the tricks of the tests. For the ACT speed is an issue. Taking practice tests without the prep class will increase your speed and the number of correct answers.

In general, take both the SAT and ACT. Some do better on the SAT over the ACT (high school slackers with high IQ). Some do better on the ACT over the SAT (hard working, high GPA students). You may benefit from taking the ACT later and at the end of your junior level math classes.

With your SAT scores above 2200, you should be able to get 32-34 on the ACT. Your high math score will be rewarded on the ACT. Getting a 34 will depend on the highly weight science section of the ACT. My son got 2200 on the SAT and 34 on the ACT but would kill to get a 800 on SAT math…Congrats.

Also, take the ACT written…some colleges are requiring it.

Bagsboy,my scenario is too complicated.I have passed my high school 12th grade last year and I took a year off to do something creative and productive because my school does not have much facilities.
Also I got a very very poor GPA during my 11th-12th grade due to some miserable unexpected challenging hardships that I had to face during my 11th-12th grade.
I have a fair number of EC’s though.Been the strongest defender of my high school football team for 4years.Been my high school Prefect during my 9th-10th grade.
Stood 1st during my 9th-10th grade.Got nominated for the Chemistry Olympiad during my 11th grade. We have the Scouts & Guides team and I’ve been the captain of my Guide’s team.
Participated in every high school cultural event.Learnt dance for 10years and music(vocalist) for 7years.Went to the slums and tutored math and science to the poor kids everyday for 4hours for free
We don’t have more EC’s available in the schools here nor do we have AP’s,Honors here.

Hence,I’m trying to compensate my poor GPA with a great SAT and ACT(with writing) score.Hope the good colleges take it into consideration. Not very sure though =
