BEWARE!
FYI, due to Hurricane Irma, my son took the 9/9 ACT on his reschedule date of 9/16. He misbubbled the math section and did not finish filling in the correct bubbles before he ran out of time. I called ACT monday, 9/18 to have them cancel sending the scores to his colleges, but they say the deadline to cancel that was 9/14. That is 2 days before he took the test! How was he to know on Thursday BEFORE the reschedule date that he would misbubble the math section? They told me, “The computer is alreading sending his scores.” I spent 75 minutes on the phone with them too. They didn’t even have his score sheet back, at that point! This is extremely unfair to anyone suffering a natural disaster and testing during the same week. Please advise everyone to be careful with ACT! They don’t care about legitimate problems or fair test administration. Most of our area was still without power! Now that College Board has updated the SAT, I see no reason for anyone to take the ACT. (And my son was trying to raise his 34)
Some schools on my son’s list superscore, so he will be fine there, but not all schools!
