I struggled with the SAT so i decided to take the ACT for the 1st time in my senior year. I signed up for the September and October tests, thinking I would need two tests to maximize my potential before the ED Deadline. However, I did quite well on the September Test. I scored a 33 composite and was wondering if it would be better to just send the 33 in and forget about the October Test.

Unfortunately, I already paid for the Oct Test (deadline was before I got original scores back) so money isnt a factor. Would it be in my best interest to go for a 34/35 and have to report it blindly without seeing what I get first? I am worried that I could go down a point or two and that it would look bad on the application. I think I could score higher but i much rather sleep in and spend my Saturday having fun if a small increase wont better my chances. Thanks!

Duke Admissions will look at your highest ACT score, so you have nothing to lose by submitting it blindly. A 33 is definitely good enough for Duke, so this is a no-pressure situation.

a 33 is a solid score..however, if you want to risk the October sitting...just don't send the score till you see it. My son got into Duke with October scores that he was afraid to send till he saw them..RD that is. you just have to pay to have them sent out later..if you forgo the "free" reports.
If you want Duke, make sure to write essays that show you future contribution to the schools academic/social pursuits..

Thanks! Im applying ED though so I cant wait to see my scores before sending. So if i submit blindly and score less than a 33 it wont hurt at all?

Nope. Won't hurt at all. I submitted SAT and ACT scores blindly last year (same boat as you...applied ED), and they only look at your best score(s).
