All but two of the colleges to which I’m applying super score the ACT. That being said, is it worth a retake? The only section I’m slightly worried about is reading, but I’m not sure how heavily that section is weighted because it’s more about speed than anything else. Here’s my breakdown:
34C: 36E 33M 31R 34S 30Essay
The reading is a tad low, but I’m hoping my English score will show admissions that I’m a capable English reader/writer. So should I retake it to get a better reading section score or is it futile?
Your score is fine. College’s focus on the composite, and if they do look at subscores it is for the Math and English sections.
Great score - think you are done!
@JPGator98 @my2caligirls thanks guys! I was hoping to hear that answer. I really don’t want to take it again haha
Wanted to bump this and add my college list:
Brown (ED)–> highest subs
Harvard (legacy)?
Pomona*
Tufts*
Williams*
Northwestern?
Northeastern*
WashU*
Cal Poly SLO
Berkeley (in-state)
- = superscores
? = unclear policy
Edit: my single is a 32 with English and math at 36 and 33 respectively. Do you guys think I should retake given my college list? My top 3 are Brown, Pomona, and WashU in that order.
