ACT SAT Flaws in Average

I have just visited Wake Forest and absolutely fell in love with everything about it. However, I would like to know what percentage of students at Wake did not submit their ACT / SAT scores because their “averages” are only coming from the data of the kids who’ve submitted their scores. Therefore, depending on how many actually submit it, it could be skewed since someone with a low score would most likely decide not to submit it.

Google “Wake Forest Common Data Set.”

@FellowBearcat, Even though many schools make test scores optional for admissions purposes, all matriculating students must provide ACT/SAT scores (unless they didn’t take it at all). In order to be considered for the US news rankings, schools must supply ACT and SAT data for all their ENROLLED students. So the published info you see on Wake Forest (or other test optional schools, like Bowdoin, etc.) is not only from students who submitted their scores for admissions purposes; it includes the test scores of all admitted students.

@LACmomCA The US news and world report rankings don’t list GPA, SAT or ACT scores for Wake. I have friends who applied to and were accepted at test optional schools. They were never asked to submit test scores even when they matriculated.
