Im a junior planning in taking my SAT in March as well as an ACT in April for the first time. Originally I only planned on taking the SAT but decided I would take both which I still am but I’ve only been doing practice for the SAT. My question is how should I go about studying for the ACT when I’ve only had SAT practice under my belt
If you’ve been studying for the SATs, you are already studying for the ACT at the same time. Both test the same concepts (reading, writing, math) with a few minor differences.
After taking the March SAT start immediately on the ACT by being familiar with the format and concepts. That way, you’ll have an entire month to focus solely on the ACT.
the ACT is an exam which is extremely fast-paced - the time given on the SAT will seem like a bounty in comparison to the time given on your ACT exam. the main difference between the SAT and ACT is that the ACT is a strategy test, where you have to find the best tactics and tricks to work and finish the exam as fast as you can. and the best way to prepare for the ACT is by doing LOTS of practice, as well as strictly timing yourself
