I'm naturally bad at the SAT... but I've already prepped a lot. Should I switch to the ACT? I've heard that if you are "naturally bad at the SAT" you should go ACT.

I started at a 1600/2400, and I've prepped to a 2000/2400, my goal being 2300+.

what do yall say? I'm a sophomore. I dont know much about the ACT.

As for my own personal opinion, if you have intentions of applying to top 25 universities, I would greatly encourage you to continue preparing for the SAT. But you also must consider that you are a sophomore and still have one year to one-and-a-half years of additional cognitive development before you must take the test. If I had begun preparing as a sophomore, I truly do not believe that I would have been satisfied with my scores either. I began practicing in the early portion of my senior year of high school and I did very well. If anything, I would advise that you currently focus on your school coursework and return to the SAT over the summer if you have intentions of taking it in the fall of your junior year. I believe that you will be surprised of the progress you have made cognitively when you return to it in the near-future.
