Should I switch from the SAT to ACT?

Currently, I'm a junior. Ever since freshmen year, I've worked very diligently in studying for SAT. This summer, I was consistently scoring in the 2150's, but as the school year progressed, my scores seemed to be going lower and lower. When I took the SAT in November I go t a 2050. I'm really disappointed in this score since I thought I would have done better.
Even though it's the middle of junior year, I'm considering switching to the ACT. I got a 28 on my first practice test (essay not graded) without studying. I looked at some tips and got a 31 the second time (essay not graded). The ACT is still fairly new to me (in comparison to the SAT), but considering these scores, should I switch?

Could someone please help?

there’s no harm in doing both! I personally find the ACT easier to study and do well on than the SAT

@Rachel52 Thank you for the input! The problem is that I don’t have a lot of time to study. I have 4 APs and 1 Honor, so I have to study for those a lot just in general. I want to use my time wisely so I feel that I should focus on only one or the other.

Some people feel that ACT is better than them, I see no harm in doing so.

I think the ACT is easier. I didn’t study between testing periods and went from a 31 to a 33. Sometimes the score reflects on just how you feel.

DS took the ACT & SAT and didn’t study for either one. On the ACT he went from a 32 to a 34. I don’t think you need to study for the ACT since is you are already studying for the SAT. Remember the ACT doesn’t reduce your score if you answer a question wrong. So it’s very possible that you may do better on the ACT.
