Ok, here in NJ, nobody knows anything about how the ACT works or is graded. I took the sat and got a 1400/1600, but I wanted to try my chances on the ACT. How exactly are these things graded? I ran out of time on Science and Math, so how would it be scaled? Like would one wrong be 35, two wrong 34, etc? Or is it some other way? Thanks.

That's usually how it goes. There are some weird ones, though. Sometimes -1 could be a 34, sometimes still a 36.

consider yourself lucky chronic.

no one in nebraska knows anything about the sat. that wouldn't matter because you can take ACT, but you need subject tests to apply to a lot of really prestigious schools. I'd never heard of a subject test until august of this (my senior) year.

that being said I think the ACT is a lot easier.
