I need help with timing on the ACT science section. If I had all the time in the world to do it, I could easily obtain a 34-36 on the science section. But because of time constraints I consistently hit the lower to mid 20s (Because of the science sections curve). This section is my biggest weakness and if I could even get it up to a 27+, it would make my composite a 30+, depending on reading.
Btw, I know about not reading the information they give and just looking and marking trends via the graphs. I never read the information unless I have to (If it includes extra information for a question). Any tips to get my timing better? And yes I have practiced with 10 tests already and can’t seem to get the timing aspect of it.
Thanks!
Definitely do the questions without reading. If you are confused on a question, skip it. Try to get to each question that you know you can answer. You should be able to get these done without making any silly mistakes due to rushing. If you have time at the end, come back to the hard questions and try to answer them. If you do not have any time, pick a single letter and fill in all of the blank questions-- there is a high chance that you will at least get some of the questions right. If the reason you are slow at science is because you do not understand a certain concept, make sure to spend time reviewing that specific concept before the test.
If nothing is working, maybe try the SAT because from what you are saying, you seem to be pretty good at reading and math.
