ACT Science

Ok, well I have been studying for the ACT off and on since June and have began to look at the science section. At times, I have glanced at small portions of this section on the Real ACT Tests, and they seemed fairly basic. Now, however, I have taken full tests and found that at times I ABSOLUTELY need to read the little "mini passages" talking about the graphs and experiments to understand the graphs themselves. Therefore, I am having some trouble getting done with these tests (2 of the three i ended up not getting 3 questions answers). So, does anyone know if I should not read these passages and also are there any good "science prep books"... like the PR maybe?

I have found that reading the intros takes too much time and I don't finish. My strategy has been to ignore the intros, unless I get to a question that I absolutely know I have to read the intro, in which case I skim the intro for the answer.

Practice doing as many as you can intuitively, without reading the intros. Practice will help.
