So I made the mistake of selecting to send my future score to my four dream colleges, and didn’t do so hot on the following ACT, so the poor score was sent. I’m way better at the SAT, so I cancelled my ACT score, and as viewed on the ACT website it acknowledges that I took the test but that my score has been cancelled. Will the colleges that I pre-selected to send the score to see the score anymore? Will they see that I have cancelled it? Will a college such as Stanford that requires all testing history see that I have deleted my score? Thank you.
The ones to which you sent the scores have them regardless of whether you thereafter cancelled. In that situation, ACT sends a notice to colleges that have already received the score that the score has been cancelled and should no longer be relied upon, but the college will still have the test scores.
And Stanford does not require all testing history.
I think they will focus on what you submitted.
I have a 1580 SAT, but the ACT that I sent was a 30, hence why I deleted it. Do you think the fact that I already sent the ACT score to them (even though I deleted it) will hurt my application?
I don’t think you can cancel a score that you’ve received. I think you can only cancel an exam the day you took the exam. You can’t get your score and then cancel.
