I took retook the ACT in October and am waiting for the scores. I have not opted to send those scores to any university at the time of registration. If my October scores are better than my September one, then I will send it. However, I am applying to Northeastern EA and the lady at NEU told me that the last date for accepting the test scores is December 1st. My question is, if I see my early scores next week and decide to send a score report, how long will it take? The website says that they will send it in a week's time. However, what is the total time it would approx take to get to NEU?

Nowadays, most scores seem to be sent electronically, so they usually get there pretty quickly. Did you take writing? If so, it might be a little longer until they have that graded. Once your essay's graded, I can't see it taking much more than a week to get there.

If you didn't take writing you should be in the clear. If you did take writing, you might be cutting it close with a regular score report. You could ask "the lady at NEU" how and how often they receive score reports (could be electronically or by paper, twice a week or twice a month), and if they accept "priority" reports, which arrive by mail in just a few days but aren't accepted by some schools.

It was weird, for my june ACT, i got my results (not that i was hoping for it) before the scores were posted for the priority and i didnt even pay a xtra cent other than the $28
