Hi,
As you may know, ACT scores were supposed to start releasing last week. However, there was an issue at the testing center and although I wasn’t involved nor did it happen my testing room, mine and everyone else’s scores are possibly being invalidated as they investigate the issue. Would it show up as “invalidated” on the ACT website? I still don’t see a score and I’m wondering if it’ll say invalidated when they make their decision, or show me my score at all. Also, do i get to take it again for free if they end up being invalidated?
The other thing they said that may happen when i called them, is that scores will be released in November. In this case, Can I still apply early action and send the scores if the deadline to apply is Oct 15? I sent the 4 free reports but could I add some for $12 each or do i have to have my scores back in order to do that
If you have earlier score, submit it as a backup.
@billcsho I do not, this was my first time taking the ACT. I can send my old SAT scores though
Our school in Knoxville, TN is having all the regular testing room scores withheld due to ACT sent the wrong test! Where and when was your incident?

If it is not a problem with you doing something wrong and they cancel scores, they will let you take it again for free, but may not give you a choice of dates.
When my oldest took it in 2009, the proctor gave the sections in wrong order. The school tried to argue that it didn’t make a difference, but they still cancelled that whole room and D had to retake (no charge). That’s been a while, but I bet still handle cancellations the same.
@scmom12 We had a student using their cell phone in between sections. They had it in their pocket and the center invalidated everyone’s scores since they did not know who interacted with the student during bathroom breaks. I had to retake and it was free. Fortunately I feel i did better than the previous time and I got my score on time.
