So my ACT scores came back and they are worse than the first time, but I already had them pre-submitted to my college. Will it hinder my application in any way? Or will they just still look at the highest composite?
D is thrilled. Same scores as last time on English and Reading. Math 1 point less (she thought is was far more difficult than the September ACT.) And increased her science score by 5 points from September. So, she is happy and done.
Key for her was practice. She took every past ACT she could find and kept track of where she made mistakes so she wouldn’t make those mistakes again.
Good luck to everyone in this process.
And abell, it really does vary with the college. Many say that they will look at highest composite. Many say that will superscore. Common theme is that they know that there will be fluctuations and want to read these in a way that is as applicant friendly as possible.
I’ve never seen a school that says they only consider the lowest scores sent. Depending on their policy they will consider the highest composite or Superscore.
