I am currently a junior in high school and I visited many colleges over spring break. They answered my question about whether they will "mix and match" SAT section scores to find your highest combined, and if I remember correctly, NYU, UPitt, and Carnegie Mellon all said they would do so. I was originally planning on taking the SAT but no longer plan on it after getting my ACT score back. I took many practice tests and did well on science, usually a 34-36 but when it came test time, I got a 28. It pulled my composite down 1-2 points and I really want a 34 or 35. I am signed up to take it again but want to know if anyone has any knowledge of whether or not a majority of schools will also mix and match ACT scores. Anyone have a clue? Thanks a lot in advance!

What you are referring to is generally called "superscoring" and a majority of universities will not do so for the ACT.
