ACT combo score or separate?

Hi, this is probably my last thread about ACT: I was too nervous this morning to check my score online, but I have a question concerning the combo ACT scores. I know that for SAT, most colleges look at your HIGHEST scores on each sections from each test you took. Is this true for ACT? For example: I got 28R 9Essay 35M 32S 23R last time, and this time I'm not sure but i did better on reading sections and worse on science and essay. Would colleges look at my HIGHEST reading scores on the 2nd ACT score and combine it with the first time? Thanks to all who reply!

it depends on the school

No, almost all colleges will only look at your best composite score. They will not combine highest scores from each section. There are a couple exceptions, I think Wash U and Georgia Tech will do what they do with SATs where they look at the highest sections.
