I don’t understand what this means exactly. DD registered for February 11th test. Her tutor told us to also register for the April test. When I registered for April, I saw this listing and paid the fee. Based on the dates, this information is released immediately after the test? Has anyone paid this, and was it helpful in studying for the next one??

I did find this http://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/your-scores/request-a-copy.html which explains why I can’t get it in February. It’s apparently only available for certain tests, and at certain centers. February is not a date that it is available. I would still love to know if it was helpful from someone who paid the $20. Thanks!

Yes it is absolutely helpful! There is no other way to review one’s errors.

In case anyone else is wondering if it is worth it, scores analysis was a waste of money in our case, but might be a good idea for some circumstances. . First, you can only order the analysis on nationally administered tests. Digging deep, I figured out that the February one was not national, but the April one was. I assume that this is similar year to year. Therefore, it would have been great to receive on the February test as she was taking in April, but it was only available for the April administration. For those who take the April and then the June, it might be helpful.

In our case, the April test was “excellent enough” and by the time the score analysis arrived it was meaningless.

Second, contrary to the propaganda on the website, we received the scores WEEKS before the analysis arrived. It would have given her time to analyze the results before the next one, but it doesn’t tell you how you did FASTER.

So, in summary, score reports could be an excellent idea if you are taking a nationally administered test, and then following with another national or “local.” The best part for her was the grades on the essay - it shows how she was ranked on each essay by graders, and gives you the rubric.
