<p>It’s odd that Chris would say that: the CR and English sections are completely unrelated. CR corresponds to Reading, and SAT Writing corresponds to a combination of English and ACT Writing.</p>
<p>I thought so. Am I wrong in thinking that on the ACT, most admissions officers look at the Math and Reading and just peek at the Writing and Science (which would be a pity, since the ACT science feels like the same level as SAT CR, while the ACT reading doesn’t)?</p>

<p>MIT doesn’t consider your writing, but it does “see” it.
